Part of the fun of photography is that no 2 days are the same. Always different people and nearly always different places. Working as a photographer has allowed me the privileged opportunity to experience and enjoy the incredible diversity life has to offer.
I feel it is incumbent upon me as a photographer to recognise and properly document this wealth of material, in an attempt to fully acknowledge the specific kindness and generosity of everyone I have the honour (and pleasure) to photograph. I have now reached a fortunate position in my career where the division between self-initiated work and commissioned photography has become less defined, resulting in projects that start out of personal interest becoming published and equally commercial assignments that can extend this discovery.
