Last Sunday saw the bi-annual Ringwood Pedal Car Grand Prix, near to where I live in Hampshire, which in alternate years becomes the New Milton Pedal Car Grand Prix. A fascinating range of bespoke pedal-driven vehicles race round a circuit of closed roads in the Hampshire towns. Always great fun, clearly very hard work for the competitors (who regularly swap places with other team members) and in a strange way the whole event looks like the Formula One racing of old.
