I photograph people on location and sometimes photograph locations with people. Over the years I have had the honour and good fortune to photograph an amazing array of people in a fascinating range of different places and never forget the wonderful luxury afforded to being a photographer. I always strive to try and relax anyone I photograph, hoping they consider the experience as reasonably pleasurable and certainly not unpleasant.

Throughout a career spanning over two decades I have photographed for a wide range of clients including the Army, behind the scenes at the BBC, an advertising campaign for Cancer Research UK, modernist architecture for Phaidon Press and also a large number of lifestyle and consumer magazines including The Architects’ Journal, BMW, Coast, Grand Designs, The Illustrated London News, The Independent Magazine, Intelligent Life, Management Today, The New Statesman, Stern, The Telegraph Magazine and Time Out.

When not undertaking commissioned assignments I am likely to be pursuing various personal projects that invariably document some aspect of the British public at work or play.  My projects often begin at a point of curiosity or a desire to learn more about something and always with a view to present the photographs to a wider audience.

I am based in London, but also live in Lymington, near the New Forest in Hampshire with easy access to the surrounding area including Dorset, The West Country and the Isle of Wight.
