Given my affection for traditional shops (and 1930’s design), I was sorry to see the demise of this fabulous shop near Moorgate in the City of London. Unfortunately, despite the relative wealth of the area’s clientele could not save this umbrella shop from closing, although I understand the manufacturing side of the business is still trading.  I suspect the exterior facade is listed and would have to be retained by any future tenant, but may not look the same adorning a coffeee shop. Perhaps it could become an upmarket sweet or biscuit shop, as it already has a suitable name!
