Although my ‘Nation of Shopkeepers’ series usually features traditional shops, it can also be about the notion of trade and the passing of money by hand to purchase a service.  Whilst working in Southport, Merseyside I came across Leon the clairvoyant, who very kindly agreed to be photographed.  His is the only clairvoyant shop I have ever seen or visited, although I suspect there are likely to be others in the UK – and I am not sure if he knew I was coming?
