In these days of mobile wi-fi and sophisticated smartphones, it is quite charming to reflect on how ‘business’ used to be conducted in the olden-days or until very recently in the case of this butcher’s shop in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.  The means of communication, an order book, contact details of various suppliers or customers and some stock all in one place – what more could the butcher need!  Unfortunately, this particular butchers did shut, but not because of any business issue or drop in trade and simply because the shop was far more valuable if it was turned into a house.
