When recently visiting Leeds I managed to get lost, but also ‘found’ this fabulous shop. Apparently, where I am standing in the middle of the road to take the photograph is where Stephensons used to be located before a road-widening scheme in the 1930s meant the building of the replacement shop in the art deco style.  What particularly intrigued me was although Stephensons did sell some paint, it predominantly only sold wallpaper and attracts discerning customers from many miles away.
