There is a so-called ‘rule’ in photography that one should avoid featuring the colour red too prominently, as it can detract from the image, however on occasion the reason something is so obvious is precisely why it can be such an effective tool.  As part of my ongoing Roadside Britain series I was specifically drawn to this lady in red waiting for a bus and as is often the case it proved to be a fleeting moment, because when I was returning to my car the bus appeared and the lady was gone – sometimes rules are there to be broken!
