Earlier this month I had the great pleasure to photograph Bob Bracken, an amateur jockey in training for a charity race at York in the summer and despite knowing very little about horses, I am always impressed by their beauty and athleticism.  The portrait of Bob has been published in the current issue of the Waitrose Weekend newspaper, which has a regular weekly feature on what people get up to during their leisure time.  Also, although having grown up in Hampshire and still living in the county, it was intriguing to visit the beautiful village of Whitsbury in the north east corner, an area I had never been to before.
